Eddie Oczkowski's Home Page

I am a Professor in Applied Economics and Quantitative Methods in the School of Accounting and Finance at Charles Sturt University. I am also a member of the National Wine and Grape Industry Centre. My main research interest relates to modelling markets with imperfect competition and the pricing of agricultural commodities. I have a specific expertise in developing hedonic wine price models and applying disequilibrium econometric techniques. I also maintain an interest in structural equation modelling applications in business. I have a Google Scholar page.

2SLS (two-stage least squares) Estimator for SEM (Structural Equation Models)

You can download teaching notes on Bollen's (1996, Psychometrika) 2SLS estimator for latent variable models. These notes also describe relevant goodness of fit, diagnostic and non-nested testing procedures. An example using SPSS (and SHAZAM) of the 2SLS procedure is also available.

Specialised Disequilibrium and LDV Computer Code

Price adjustment canonical disequilibrium model

DISP.E is the GAUSS code for estimating the canonical known sample separation price adjustment disequilibrium model. The code employs ML4 from Laffont and Garica (1977) Econometrica.

Ginsburgh-Tishler-Zang (GTZ) single market effective demand disequilibrium model

GTZED.FOR is the GQOPT (Goldfeld and Quandt's) Fortran code for estimating this model described in Oczkowski (1990). GTZEDTEST.FOR is a complete GQOPT example based on artificial data. GTZEDNOTES.TXT are brief notes describing the model and notation.
