A note about the reviews

This website looks at three thesaurus management systems. MulteTes and Cognatrix are both smaller-scale, single user and restricted to one operating system. PoolParty represents the larger scale, enterprise approach and is multi-operating system compliant.

The Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers, a great resource for training and information in the Australian context.

The American Society for Indexing advocates for indexing by organising conferences, providing employment info and producing publication. They have a specialist group for taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.

ANSI/NISO Guidelines for the Construction, Format, and Management of Monolingual Controlled Vocabularies

ACACIA is a non-profit organisation for information architects. Although this site is no longer updated, it is a good resource for taxonomy and vocabulary information as it relates to the field of information architecture.
