History

Andrew was born and raised in western Sydney, where he currently resides. Attending Greystanes High School, he was particularly interested in Computer Studies and Mathematics. Being naturally drawn to computers since a young age, Andrew studied programming as a hobby while working as a computer helpdesk technician for a number of years. Learning C++ and C# he became fond of the logical approach of programming, but when he was introduced to web development his interest was piqued. He soon learnt HTML coding, CSS styling, and then moved to PHP and MYSQL development where he further developed his skills.

However when at the age of 23 Andrew became extremely ill, his career was put on hold. He underwent many tests and procedures, but nothing seemed to help. Eventually he heard of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which while it had nothing to do with his physical illness, helped him to gain some mental stability where he had previously become quite upset and depressed due to illness.

Andrew and Neuro Linguistic Programming

Andrew found that NLP helped greatly, not only with his mental state while being ill, but also with confidence, eliminating fears, and dealing with other emotional issues. He was so happy with the Results NLP had given him, that he decided to study NLP formally. In 2006 Andrew completed his NLP Practitioner Certification, and his NLP Master Practitioner Certification, finding that his naturally balance between his logical mind and positive outlook helped him to excel in his study and practice of NLP.

After his studies Andrew immersed himself in NLP, reading many books on advanced topics, practicing with friends and family, attending and facilitating NLP practice groups, and progressing to taking NLP Therapy and Life Coaching clients. His confidence and dedication grew until he attended NLP Trainer's Training in 2007. As part of his training practice he started teaching NLP workshops and certification courses with his brother Nick whom he started a training business with.

Training Career

After working on their training business for 2 years, Andrew stepped down from his role as director of the training business. Nick continued to run the business, with Andrew still joining him to train now and then. In 2009, Andrew took on a position at a multinational software company as a corporate trainer where he was able to merge his newfound love for training and his lifelong passion for computers. This position grew until Andrew was in charge of global training and quality initiatives for the company.

Still very passionate about NLP, Andrew found ways to incorporate it into his work in the corporate world, but a yearning to teach NLP skills directly pulled at him. In 2012 Andrew founded IntuitiveNLP, a business where he could share the techniques of NLP with others through workshops and courses both in the public and corporate sectors.
