Teaching involves thoroughly understanding an array of analytical, critical,
and creative aspects in the form of subjects so as to mould a firm base for
the children to grow and develop in understanding. An effective teacher will
have a sound and deep knowledge of the content developed in the curriculum.
Commitment to developing the children’s must be the first priority
within the
context of the school environment. Teachers must interpret the complex knowledge
areas, skills and values within each subject.
Educating the students involves understanding how the content of each subject
has been developed and how the important concepts are selected. The teacher
must apply an appropriate amount of time on each of these important concepts
according to the depth and importance of these areas. The subjects that are
constructed and changed over time must be adapted to the technologies and
advances
of today’s society.
Effective teachers must be aware of how what is taught is closely connected
to how it is taught. The rate that students learn is dependent on how it
is
taught. It is not simply enough to teach the array of knowledge, it must
also
be applied to situations that are u8nderstood by the students.
