About
Me!
I
was born in Sydney on 26th January, 1984 (Australia Day). After hitting
the ripe old age of 4 ¾ it was decided to ship me off to Mosman
Prep School. After completing a solid 7 years, 1996 saw me commence
high school at the Shore School, North Sydney. This was a junior and
senior (yr3 – 12) all boys, day boy and boarding senior school.
My studies were finished there after the completion of my Higher School
Certificate in 2001. After applying for, and receiving a place at
Fettes College, Scotland, I took off for the whole of 2002 to be a
GAP student. The stories I had heard about these years almost being
a paid holiday were quickly dismissed after we were given our work
timetable. Although the whole year was hard work, to date it is the
most beneficial year of my life due to all the experiences it threw
me. These varied between teaching English to foreign students, teaching
PE to primary and senior school students (some of them 19 years old
whilst I was still 17!!), coaching rugby, cricket, golf, lacrosse,
or even helping 7 year old kids deal with home sickness.
I
do believe this year overseas helped push me into the teaching world
(or at least wanting to be in this world!) and has helped me get through
the first two years of my degree at the Australian College of Physical
Education, Homebush, before transferring to CSU Bathurst this year.
The
main purpose of this e-folio is to point out to people what I have
learnt so far in life, in regards to teaching. It also outlines my
beliefs and what I hope to gain from teaching.
