The purpose of this site

The purpose of this website is to display the work we are producing at Charles Sturt University to be come a educator in the future. It is also can be used as a resource for both myself and others.

I have placed five buttons down the left hand side of the page as links to three main focus areas that we have been studying, Curriculum and Knowledge, Pedagogy and Assessment and Becoming a professional. The two other links are to a reference page and back to this home page.

General information about ME

I believe that Public Education is the foundation to a healthy democracy. As a student of Katoomba High School I witnessed first hand the inherent fairness and inclusiveness of the public education system.
I have been lucky enough to travel and to study in a secondary school outside of Australia and realise just what an excellent education system NSW has. Despite the undeserved attacks on the NSW public education system I believe that it is the only educational system which is committed to the principles of equity. It is through education that life is made better. And as a teacher in the public system I hope to be able to give something back and to help make a difference to the lives others students, just as my teachers had made to mine.
