ANASTASIA
VIOLIN TEACHER AND MUSICIAN
Anastasia is new to the south coast. She has been living and working in Sydney where she has played and taught the violin for 20 years and is looking forward to meeting some musically inclined people in the area.
She completed a Bachelor of Music Education from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1993. She has taught and nurtured talent on the violin to students of all ages and levels- from 4 to 64. Many of these students have achieved rewarding results. As well as private teaching, she has assisted the NSW Performing Arts Unit in tutoring string groups, in primary schools and high schools teaching the violin and conducting string groups.
She enjoys helping young people reach their potential and participating in the joy of music. She believes every child is entitled to music in their lives, and should be given the opportunity.
Playing her own music is also important to Anastasia. She has experience in performing in ensembles and orchestras at many differing occasions: weddings, parties, work functions, funerals, religious events. She is interested in joining other musicians in the area to play socially or professionally in trios, string quartets, musicals, or orchestras.
