Fretboard Charts
Fretboard charts are used right through this site to show you how to play notes, scales and chords. This represents the guitar from the player's point of view. Each line is a string, and the bottom line is the bass E string. This chart show you how to play a scale.
The open circle indicates an open string (a string played without the left hand touching it)
The closed circle shows a fretted note. In advanced charts a number may be used to indicate the best finger to use
