| Dad | My Dad Wolfgang Laub Dad was born and grew up in Germany. He moved to Australia in 1965 when he got a job on the snowy scheme. Dad worked for Snowy Mountain Hydro Electric Authority (SMHEA) and Kaiser for a short period of time. He then moved to Thredbo and ran Snow Goose for several years and then later received the waste removal contract there. While running Snow Goose he and Mum met and they worked in the lodge together for a few years before getting married and building a house in the village. In 1988 he and Mum decided to move to Cooma to allow my older sister to attend high school without having to go to boarding school, so Dad then was required to travel everyday to Thredbo to work for quite a few years. When Dad lost the contract in Thredbo, he started his own business W & C Laub Heat Pumps that later became Geo Thermo Dynamics. Dad has created a name for himself in this industry. He travels around much of South East Australia inspecting prospective jobs, and completing jobs. |

| Esther | My sister Esther In 2001 Esther was fortunate to, like me, be able to go overseas to her country of choice. Esther travelled overseas to Canada with Rotary youth exchange; she was placed in Quebec province, where she was required to learn French. Esther enjoyed her time in Canada immensely and made many friends for all over the world. In 2002 she returned to Australia to complete Year 12 where she scored very well in the HSC. In 2003 Esther was accepted into 3 Universities to study music, she selected to study at Wesley Institute in Sydney. For her first year of study she lived in their college accommodation, after which she and a selection of friends rented a house for her 2-year of study. In her third year of study she moved yet again into a house with a different selection of friends. In her last year she also secured herself a job in the city working for Allen's music. Esther enjoys working there, as she is able to use much of the knowledge that she has acquired at College. During her study Esther has been involved in the Wesley Institute choir and Small ensemble. With involvement in these groups Esther has been privileged to be able to travel the country on choir tour, and she has also made several television appearances at Easter and Christmas. |

| My German Relatives | I have met most of my relatives from Germany. During my year in Germany I did a bit of travelling so that I could get to meet as much of my Dad's family as possible. I enjoyed spending time with my German family as I learnt a lot about my Dad and I learnt lots more about them and even some things about me. |
