| Thredbo - "Wolf's Lair" | From the time I was born till December 1987 I lived in the only 'House' in Thredbo Village. "Wolf's Lair" was built by my Mum and Dad in 1978 shortly after they got married. Wolf's Lair is located on the lowest level of Thredbo village, directly below where the 1997 landslide occurred. Much of this house was built by my parents and not by contactors as during building they encountered geological difficulties |

| Cooma - Elizabeth Street | This is the only rented house I have ever lived in I lived here from Dec 87 till Sept 89 while our house in Montague Street was being built. One of the things I liked about this house while growing up was the hiding places in the backyard. I still remember hiding under shrubs, behind rocks, between trees and also climbing over the back fence into the nature reserve. |

| Cooma - Montague Street | After selling our house in Thredbo my family moved to Cooma where my father built a large house for us to live in. I have lived in this house since 1989. In the last few years I have also lived at different cities for university but Montague Street, Cooma is still my home. This house was a great place to grow up, there was always plenty of room inside the house for playing inside games when the weather was too cold, hot or wet, and when the weather was good our house is bordered on three sides by nature reserve. Mum always gave my sister and I freedom to roam the area around our house as long as we were with in "Cooee" distance. If she needed us for any reason she would "Cooee" and we would respond to let her know we heard and we would head home. In the area surrounding our house we have about 6 different cubby houses, some in trees, some between rocks and some in long grass. |

| Coffs Harbour - Bray Street | This would be the place where I have lived for the shortest period of time. I lived here from Feb 2002-Oct 2002. This was also probably one of the more interesting places I have lived. Here I was boarding with a family but had my own granny flat. The household was made up of 2 parents and 4 children ages 18, 14, 8 and 5. The house was constantly on the move. I really enjoyed living with this family, as I was able to find my place in their family and become a useful member of their household. Living here I got a taste of what it may have been like having little brothers, I enjoyed spending time with the two youngest children and their cousin who lived next door. I spent quite a bit of time sitting on my veranda watching the boys play in the backyard and talking to them. While living here I was able to introduce these two boys to computers, neither had been given much of a chance to learn how to use a computer. I spend many an hour with the boys distorting pictures, and playing games. I thank Reuben and Margaret so much for taking me into their family, it was a privilege and a pleasure. |

| Wagga Wagga - Charles Sturt University St Martins College |
This is the latest place I have lived. I have been living in various cottages on CSU campus since Feb 2003 and in St Martins College since Oct 2003. The cottages are set up in such a way that there are 8 people living in a house. All houses are mixed male and female. Of the houses I have lived in I have enjoyed living in this house the most. In this house I have made some great friends who are a lot of fun and also great to have a serious chat with. St Martins College is a wonderful place to live, there is a community between the cottages and the head of college, Peter Savage, and our cleaners, Cathy and Robyn, are great people who support us in the tough times that we go through at uni. Within the college there are many support networks here; there are the cleaners who come every day, they are beautiful women who can have a laugh but also have a serious side, there is also the Residential Advisors (RA's) who are there if you need someone to talk to who is closer in age, they are there if you lock yourself out of your room and they also organise the social and sporting events in the college. One support aspect is those you live with. The cottages are comprised of a mixture of male and female, and first year and continuing students, this allows students to be able to have someone around who they can possibly talk to, if there is no one in their cottage there are 10 other cottages in the college. |
