A few favourite titles at the moment

Skulduggery PleasantSkulduggery Pleasant series

He's the skeletal detective who solves the more unusual and magical crimes. His accomplice is a 13 year old girl, Stephanie, who meets Skulduggery after the death of her Uncle and his leaving everything to her. A great and recommended read for both boys and girls (and men and women).

 Pride and Prejudice

A classic and probably my favourite Jane Austen novel. I am yet to decide if this is because of the book itself or from watching Colin Firth as Mr Darcy walking dripping wet from a lake. Mmmm.

The lake scene with Mr Darcy

I also enjoyed the recent spoof version, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Quite Humorous.

Harry PotterHarry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban Cover

Who doesn't like Harry? JK Rowling did an amazing job keeping readers of all ages, even those aging progressively faster than the books were being written, engaged and tied to the story throughout the whole series. My favourite book in the series will always be the third, Prisoner of Azkaban. Why? I think because it's where Harry first truly gets a sense of what it might be like, living with family that truly want him around.

Black Magic Sanction coverCurrently Reading

Black Magic Sanction, the 8th book in Kim Harrison's The Hollows series. It's one of my many series of books that ties both the chick lit genre and the fantasy genre together.
