Web analytic toolsWeb analytic tools are a valuable to analysis the usage of a website and how that particular website was accessed. It provides insight into what web pages are being accessed and statistical data can be collated over a specific period. The types of information which can be collated and analysed from a web analytic tool range from how the users accessed the website to the number of times a particular webpage has been accessed. It can show what users information seeking behaviours are through the way they access the websites and the length of time. Web analytics tools can show the average time a web page is accessed, the bounce rate, the number of times a website has been accessed, and the percentage of new visits. Another feature of web analytic tools is the way information can be collated. Information can also be saved or displayed in the way that suits the need of the Information Architect. It allows the Information Architect to evaluate the usage of a particular website through a series of reports as well different ways to export the information.
