There are many different aspects and requirements of teaching, form providing good and correct information, to delivering that information in an effective way, to providing a safe environment for students to learn in.

While I am still studying at university and getting my professional qualifications, I have also had some past experience and qualification that I believe would add to my professional and personal qualifications.

  • Providing good information:
    My studies at university are adding to my knowledge of subject content, and I would hope to keep this knowledge up to date with ongoing in-services and study once I have finished my degree.
  • Providing a safe environment for students.
    Maintaining a balance of caring and appropriate relationships with students is a central part of the professional practice of a teacher. I did my first aid certificate 3 years ago and while it is now out of date I think it still gave me some useful knowledge. I have recently done a child protection course which is specifically aimed a teachers.
