Movable Type, similar to Drupal and LightCMS has strong Information Architecture qualities. Movable Type works alongside the Information Architect for strategic insight and custom development, this is particularly useful to an Information Architect who wants to build the most effective and user friendly site. By being able to customise alongside templates enables the Information Architect to meet the clients needs more effeicently.
LABELING
Movable type uses a lot of CSS coding and HTML, which can be quite the challenge for anyone that is unfamiliar with a technical side such as CSS. Using CSS coding and HTML is advantagous to an Information Architect and their other Internet Technology colleagues that may assist or do the coding, can code the labeling to best meet the clients needs. While this may be a time consuming approach and not as cost effective, the results will be evidence of time well spent. Templates are available for those who wish to use them.

Organisation systems are essential in keeping a site easy and user friendly in pursuits of navigation. Movable Type has custom fields that enahnce the content management system. The dashboard is an essential part of the Content Management system as it manages the site content, activity, usability and navigationial options.

Movable types latest update has enhanced searching capabilities on the Content Management System. Movable type has search function that is a search and replace option. This is used in all areas of Movable Type, however the information is limited to the page you are working on. The Quick Search option is on the interface of the web source, and functions in the context of the page you are currently viewing. Movable Type also has the tools that ensure that Advanced Search is able to be integreated onto the site interface. This allows customised searching that can be limited to enable a more accurate result.
NAVIGATION
Movable Type has a strong dashboard function and many search options, which include breadcrumbs and a main navigation menu. This suggests that that back end and interface are easy to move around. Depending on what CSS and HTML changes are made on a site before the organisation of content can influence how effective the Navigational tools are that the Information Architect implements.

Although Movable Type is aimed at buisnesess and Powerbloggers, first impressions are positive even for the individual author of a not so powerful blog. Movable Types' CSS and HTML and less formal dashboard option is the middle ground between the very flexible Drupal and the more stringent LightCMS, which evidently creates a good balance. Both Non-confident users and the more IT based Infromation Architect or IT specialist are catered to within the backend fucntions of the Movable Type software.
The Web interface even at its most basic is user friendly, particularly with effective search options. The buisness relationship between the user, and in particular professional is what helps make this site authenic and the finished products are of a high, user friendly standard.
Overall a useful site that provides options for both the non paying user and the professional organisations that are both easy to build with the option of complex if required.
