Reading literature is one of my primary hobbies. I read a lot of different kinds of literature, however, my the three types of literature that I mostly read are Modernist literature, science fiction, and fantasy.

Modernist Literature

I am interested in how industrialism and World War I shape the modern world, both of which are at the forefront of Modernist literature. I am also fascinated by the ideas of Charles Darwin and Freidrich Nietszche, both of which provided a substantial influence for Modernist literature.

Science Fiction

• The consequences for first contact
• Would Artificial Intelligence be alive?
• Alien consciousness (e.g. Hive minds, Informorphs)
• Transhumanism
• Historical cycles

Fantasy

By far my favourite fantasy novels are the A Song of Ice and Fire books by George R. R. Martin. The series addresses many topics that interest me, such as political theory, political science, military conflicts, and Medieval European history. Also, I like that many parts of the series are written ambiguously as it invites the readers to come up with theories in order to make sense of certain events.
