Mike was born in Pensacola, Florida. Soon after this his family moved to Seattle where the band currently calls home. He bought his first guitar at age 11, and has continued to play since then. He was picked up for the band Pearl Jam at a party where a person (now fellow band member Stone Gossard) noticed his talent and asked whether he would join his band, which would be soon known as Pearl Jam. His greatest influence is KISS, but also has others such as Jimmy Hendrix.He was a member of Temple of the Dog and has such side projects as Mad Season and The Rockfords. Mike is a true Legend and my absolute idol being a budding guitarist.
