5 card draw is very similar to texas hold'em so it is best to read the texas hold'em page before reading this, but there are a few minor differences.
Each person is dealt 5 cards, nobody else knows what they are. Everybody has to put in blinds in 5 Card Draw which is commonly called the 'ante', once all the players put in their chips, 5 cards are dealt to each player, one at a time. Once the cards have been dealt, a round of betting commences. When the bets have been completed, all players have the option to swap any amount of their 5 cards for that amount of new ones from the deck. The cards thrown out by the players are discarded and the new onea are inherited into the existing hand.
Once all players have exchanged cards, another round of betting commences. When all bets have been done, the remaining players reveal their hands and the player with the higher ranking hand wins.
