Dudsville confident of continuing winning steak

The Dudsville dragons are confident of maintaining their recent unbeaten streak in the Wandervalley Aussie rules League.

After a comprehensive win over the hapless Fakeville Falcons, the dragons are in top form going into their clash with Hopefield Hippos.

The dragon coach is adament that despite the loss of nine of their star players due to injury, the dragons will have too much fire power for the hippos who he believes will be out on their tusks.

" We worked really hard on the weekend and despite the loss of some key players and scaly end to the game last week, I think we [the dragons] can soar above this hurdle and have a successful year." the dragons coach said

The dragons will wear a special heritage jumper for the round to mark the 40th anniversary of the club in the wandervalley district league. The club has come along way from their humble origins to be a genuine powerhouse in the league.

The jumper will bare the outline of the dreaded dragon that the club has used for its logo since its commencement in the league. The coach beleives the dragon has been a feared icon for all teams that have crossed the moat to enter the dragons lair oval.

" the dragon icon that our club wears has always ben feared by our competitors and when a team crosses the man made moat around our field, they know they are in for a tough game and that in order to obtain victory here, they will have to be above their best. "

Training has been good this week, and the boys are really keen to continue on their winning ways.

The dragons invite all to come and enjoy the spectacle on the weekend as they look to go 5-0 for the year and establish themselves as real premiership contenders.
