The word WOW has another meaning other than being an verbal expression or being slightly amused when used in a sarcastic tone. This World of Warcraft looked ripe with capitalist scum to defer to the mother country but on finding this game had a free version, my mind was turned for the better. I liked game so much i let my small puppy starve. Poor Kalashnikov did not receive his rations for that day, for i was busy PvPing. He subsequently annoyed me. Was not good.
You are offered two factions when entering game and 5 types of people/bull/short people. These characters can be made beautiful, by you with various hair and faces to use. I like this, as my abnormally large and spikey hair and unnatural charm can be represented realistically in game. But clothes wise they are very sensible and not shiny as the advertisement suggests. Silly Capitalists not sharing nice things.
There is a large variety of quests available to the player that scale with the level of your own character that include getting an amount of creature skins or the head of a larger monster or killing a certain amount of monsters. This I found boring. Fetch quests as I have been told are the base of World of Warcraft’s quests and I feel like they make no difference in the grand scheme of things. For instance many quest say that it is to cut down the amount of creatures around area but non-descript soviet man see no difference in amount of creatures I think this could be done better.
When you get to certain level you are allowed to enter pvp arena to kill members of the opposing faction. This is where you will have most fun in free starter version and where your choice of class and gear will have any difference. Since my character was hunter, I was expected to stun enemies from afar and deal damage with the bow and arrow. Also the larger bull creatures were expected to run in and take damage so the weaker characters can cast spells or shoot arrows from afar. There were smaller creatures that appeared behind you, stunned you and killed you. There were people that healed tank to make them go for longer.
There are so many combinations of class roles that have different things to do during battling and it make non-descript soviet man weep with joy for the communistic equality for all players great and small.
The Graphics in game remind me of my mother country’s beauty. Such rolling hills, great canyons and huge forests filled with magical creatures. The one thing that capitalistic pig dogs achieve well is wasteful use of resources to make things look beautiful and they have done this to such perfection with each character’s starting area mirroring the character class themselves with night elves living in large forests and goblins living in large canyons filled with mechanical but podgy looking houses. This of course means the player must have good computer to see world in full beauty and while my Russian super computer handles most things, during pvp there was some lagging.
The soundtrack in this game outstanding, from the orchestral menu music setting entire mood of the game to just the ambient noises of random creatures mixed with general music particular to each area. I found there was not a moment where I found it frustrating or intrusive. Instead I found it to match the mood exactly whether it was fighting a bunch of monsters or just walking about.
Is good game, you may find boring doing quests but all other features make up for this. You will be limited to level 20 and you will have to fork out some Rubles to obtain full subscription, not mention the large number of expansion packs that add to the whole story but for now this is an excellent showcase of what game can do.
