My interests

I like cars- See Link.

Driving- I enjoy driving and have missed it whilst at Uni. I usually go for a drive on a Friday night.

Motor sport- I enjoy watching this and would love to one day participate, I like watching the V8 super cars. I have become interested in drifting. I also enjoy rally, historic touring cars and many more.

Music- I don’t know how to classify my music taste but ill happily listen to the majority of songs played on Triple J. I like Led zeppelin, Deep purple, Queen and ACDC to note some older bands. Newer stuff probably alternative. I like some well mixed music or bassy or techno sort of stuff and heavier sorts of music as well.

The summernats- "Its more than just a car show."- The summer nats is a huge car show where you can see anything imaginable (about cars or anything else for that matter). I would recommend you go and see it I have gone for 7 years in a row now it is held in Canberra at the exhibition centre some time in January.

Hobbies

Making Cocktails- this has been an interest of mine since I was about 12 years old i have a good collection of books about it and there are many internet sites of interest.

Resorting cars- it’s a slow process and I don’t get to it very often but i like to tinker with my cars.

Collecting coca cola stuff- again this is something that I started when very young at one stage I had every different bottle they put out for about 3 years. I now try to keep interesting ones and other memorabilia.

Air rifles- in my home town there is an air rifle club where you can go and shoot at targets from ten metres away, the rifles are of Olympic standard, my highest score is 90 out of 100 which is pretty good. I find that sometimes my glasses help and other nights they don’t.

Other involvements

I have been involved in the bush fire service- at a young age i was in the fire flies, then progressed to the junior brigade, I received my brown book two years earlier than needed (its the certification for joining the actual service, it involves a two day intensive training). I was then able to automatically able to join when 16, from then i have assisted at various activities and mop up procedures.

I was actively involved in scouting before I came to uni as an assistant leader. I progressed to this after going through cubs and scouts myself. I see this as a valuable thing for people to participate in.
