This website has been designed to demonstrate my understanding of concepts such as curriculum & knowledge, pedagogy & assessment and becoming a professional.

General information

My name is Danielle Bentick, i am a student of Charles Sturt University, Bathurst Campus,where i am in the first year of my double degree, Bachelor of Teaching/ Bachelor of Human Movement. I completed my Higher School Certificate in 2002 at Dubbo High School, Delroy Campus. I then went onto study Certificate 3 in Childcare at Dubbo Tafe and Certificate 3 in Fitness Leadership with the Fitness Institute Australia via long distance education, i am still completing it now. I love sport and am willing to give anything a go, although i do best in the sport of Baton Twirling, it is a sport that incorporates gymnastics, dance and twirling. I have represented Australia 3 times, 1999 in Florida, 2000 in Holand and 2001 in Paris, i will be representing Australia again this year (2004) in Japan. I am also a coach at the Dubbo R.S.L. Youth Club and have been nominated for several awards including:

  • Junior club person of the year in 1999
  • The Geoff Lang Memorial Award in 2002
  • Junior sports pereson of the year in 2003

I have participated in sports such as:

  • Gymnastics
  • Baton Twirling
  • Ballet
  • Jazz
  • Soccer
  • Hockey
  • Softball
  • Cricket
  • Oz tag

Recently i have also been awarded a scholarship,the

Mitchell Emeritus Club Encouragement Award

This has given me an extra boost in my studies to know that the Charles Sturt Foundation has faith in me to do well in my endevours.
