I have been working in the Information Technology industry for the past 7 years and am currently providing IT support for a large multi-national energy company in Adelaide. My passion for technology has allowed me to succeed in IT and I have learnt and experienced a lot in this time, and I plan on continuing to expand on and apply my knowledge and skills as much as I can.
I have begun studying a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with Charles Sturt University this year with the hopes of greatly expanding my knowledge and skills across the computing field. Hopefully this will open doors for me in the future and provide opportunities so I can make an positive impact in our industry.
Outside of work and study, I have a keen interest in video games, movies, travelling and finding out more about myself and the world around me.
I was born near Adelaide in 1980 and attended a private school, completing Year 12 in 1997. After finishing school, I studied a Diploma of Information Technology at TAFE while working part time. I was also a keen pianist, and received a scholarship to study jazz music at the Conservatorium in Adelaide which I did not pursue. I also had brief interests in basketball, cricket, and studied sound production for a period of time. In 2001, I took my first full-time job in a Government role. During the 10 years of work in the Government, I broke into the IT industry and gained a lot of experience. I have now left the public sector and am pursuing my future career in private enterprise. Who knows what the future may hold?
