Carbon price edges a bit closer
The multi-party climate change committee is edging closer to deciding on what the nation's future carbon price will be, the Australian Greens say. The federal government wants to introduce carbon pricing laws to parliament by September, with the aim of having them passed by the end of the year and a fixed price to start from July 1, 2012.
