link on the Library Web Page connects to an alphabetical list of databases.

the prompt, enter your CSU online User Name and

3. Choose an Operator:
Choose an operator in the drop-down menu.
Or accept the default AND.
4. Type a second word
or phrase. Repeat step 2, then repeat steps 3 and 4 to add another term.
5. All Article Types:
Specify an article type from the drop-down menu. Choose from one of these
options or accept the default All Article Types.
6. All Publication
Types: Specify a publication type from the drop-down menu. Choose from
one of these options or accept the default All Publication Types.
7. Limit to: Click
the check box to search for full text or peer reviewed articles.
8. Show number of
articles: Click the check box to show number of articles returned within
the Results List.
9. To find articles
published within a certain time frame, choose Current or Backfile and then
specify a date range. Or, accept the default (as shown below).
10. Click the Search
button to view the Results List. Or Reset to begin a new search.
Peer Reviewed Searching
By completing
a basic or
guided search in ProQuest, the searcher is able
to limit the search to Peer reviewed material. This function allows
the user to find material that is more academic in nature.
Natural
Language : Either ask a question or type in a phrase.

Displaying results
Results will be displayed
in groups of ten. All results will have the following symbols next to each
citation
Abstract

To see the abstract, full text
or page image click on the images (as above) next to the citation. If the
Abstract icon only appears, then the abstract is only available.
All articles can be saved
to disk, printed or emailed. ProQuest also enables to you mark each record
and print, save or email marked records.
Saving your article
Click the
icon and scroll down "To Save Your Article to Disk" and follow the instructions
listed.
Printing your article
Click the
icon and scroll down "To Print Your Article" and follow the instructions
listed.
Email articles
To email articles click
on the icon
Print citations
To print the citation list hit the
icon
Combining terms
When your topic involves
more than one keyword use the Boolean operators AND,OR or
NOT , to limit or broaden a search.
Truncation
Use ? to search for
words that contain a common root. Eg . manage? for manager, management
and managing
Wildcard
Use * to search for
a number of characters in a word or are unsure of the spelling. Eg By searching
the term wom*n, your results will include articles that contain: woman,
women, and womyn.
