Research
My research encompasses a number of different areas, as illustrated below.  My main areas of research are in the field of stress and well-being measurement using hassle and uplift scales and more recently in relation to children with a parental mental illness.  I have developed hassle and uplift scales for adults and University students (see below and related links).  My interests in hassle and uplifts also extends to research into depression and overlaps with positive psychology and particularly research into uplifts, connectedness and savouring (in collaboration with Dr. Fred Bryant, Loyola University of Chicago) and the influence of daily event recall on mood and alternate event recall (collaboration with Dr. Murray Maybery from University of Western Australia).

I am also interested in connectedness and mental wellbeing in adolescents and children with a specific focus on children of parents with a mental illness. The following outlines my areas of research interest:

Positive and Negative Event Scales

Children of Parents with a Mental Disorder

Social research to underpin regional catchment plan implementation for the NSW Murray Catchment
