African cichlids come from 3 main lakes in Africa Tanganyika, lake Victoria, and lake Malawi. The blue peacock, featured below is from lake Malawi. African cichlids tend to be more aggressive than American cichlids, but that does not mean they can not live in peace, especially if you introduce all the fish when they are fingerlings.
