So this page is to show what type of music I'm into. I'm passionate about music, particularly progressive metal. Its kind of a blend of genres and many bands I like dont seem to fit under particular labels so well. Progressive metal seems to cover most bases though.
A quote from wikipedia states "Progressive metal blended elements of heavy metal and progressive rock music, taking the loud "aggression", amplified electric guitar-driven sound of the former, with the more experimental, complex and "pseudo-classical" compositions of the latter.
I guess I really got into prog metal in the past 5 years, I have been a metal fan for about 15 years but have really taken to prog for some reason. It offers some kind of diversity while still within the general sound I'm interested in but being progressive means there are no frameworks to stay within, no structure and much more creativity to keep a good song going.
