My name is Justine and I have completed through Childbirth International the Birth Doula certificate.
I am the Vice President of the Darwin Homebirth Group and Treasurer of the Childbirth Education Association Darwin.
My interest and passion for natural childbirth began before my own journey with pregnancy, but after having my child at home with a midwife I decided to commence training to become a doula. I gave birth to my lovely daughter naturally, without the use of any drugs or interventions.
Having my wonderful midwife present made all the difference. I felt safe and empowered throughout the pregnancy and birth and knew that I wanted to do something to help other couples achieve the experience they hope for.
Birth usually unfolds in the way it is meant to when not interfered with and I believe that childbirth is a normal process, not a medical condition.
I will support a woman's birth plan whether it is natural or medicated. I will help educate so you can make informed decisions about your options and the risks and benefits of each intervention.
