Here's how to make soap from scratch!

Cold Process is a soapmaking method which uses natural heat originating from the chemical reaction between the fatty acids in the oils/fats and the alkali in the lye solution. In spite of it's name, temperature is required to bring the base oils to the nessary temperature before adding the lye solution.

Great easy method for beginners

• Ensure you have protective eye wear, gloves and apron
• Weigh ingredients carefully ! Measure exactly
• Be patient when waiting for temperatures to cool, timing is everything !
• Insulate the soap with a blanket once batter is in the mold
