Gradient Electric Guitar

How about this neat tutorial on how to create an 3D electic guitar in just a few clicks neat huh!

1.By using the gradient provided on this page simply save it on your desktop.

2.Now make sure you have nothing loaded up. Import the gradient as a texture in the Alphas Palette make sure that you have it selected, next go down to Make 3D and click it. Now if you get a fat bulgy scrofulous guitar, just lower down the presets which are right next to the Make 3D button, fiddle around and check off DBS (Double Sided) as you dont want the face of the guitar mirrored on its back.

Well now you now have the base mesh of a guitar which you can then export into maya and give it strings and bolts etc.
