Customize
This is just a few tips on how I customerize Zbrush 3 preferences and and how I keep it that way everytime I load it up, handy aint it.
-By leaving the following palettes opened (like I have done in my Image) in the preferences palatte this will be all you need opened to follow my guide on customizing the preferences.
-Mem
By amping up the compact mem, zbrush will run faster because it will take advantage of the ram on your computer until its exceeded it will then use virtual memory which will create lagging. Amp up the Doc undo and Tool undo so you have more undos when working on your models.
-Performance
By checking MultiDraw and MultiRender, Zbrush will take advantage of your computers Dual core processors or Quad core processors, what ever you might have, except for a single core processor.
-Config
Now your ready to Save UI then load your UI, next click Store Config, so now these settings will occur everytime you start up Zbrush.
