There are many different tools that the Information
Architect may rely on to assist with site structure, layout, accessibility,
navigation and so on. But which are the most useful? This website is an attempt
to analyse three such tools and evaluate their effectiveness within the field
of Information Architecture.Tools from three different companies will be
examined, the diagramming software, Microsoft
Visio, The metadata tool Scorpion,
produced by OCLC and the Portal software Slash.
These three products are from three very different aspects of the Information
Architecture field, showing the extreme diversity required to be an Information
Architect.
