Organ Donation and Transplantation |

The Task During the individual phase of the investigation, you must complete the quiz and maintain a Wiki which records your research's key points. Your first requirement is to produce a clear timeline that must be given to the teacher at the end of the first session, outlining when all tasks will be completed. As a group, and from the perspective of the role you investigate, you need to prepare an oral report, assisted by either video or PowerPoint, to convince the Government (the rest of the class) that they should implement your proposal that will provide a means to increase the number of organs available for transplantation. This must also include a bibliography of all resources investigated. During your group discussion, all members must be prepared to consult, negotiate and compromise as you attempt to develop the best solution to the problem of organ shortages. Your arguments must be persuasive and supported by facts, and the media chosen to expand/illustrate your arguments must also be clearly connected to your key ideas. Each member of the group will have equal presentation time, however, the group must only present one shared viewpoint. Your proposals must clearly show, either, what needs to be changed in Australia so that the rate of organ donation will be increased or what other viable methods could be adopted to provide synthetic or foreign organs. |
