My Teaching Philosophy

I fell in love with teaching at the age of eight. I would finish my work as quickly as I could so that I could go down to the kindergarten classes and help to teach them reading. Probably not the best for my learning, but I loved it and have wanted to do nothing else with my life ever since.

I want to be a teacher because i really enjoy working with children. They are real, enlightening and very funny. I think it's a very nobel and improtant job, teaching the fundementals of life to the next generation. Nothing beats the feeling when a child suddenly grasps a concept you have been patintly explaining to them for the last 20 mins.

I think it is extremely important to make an effort to treat each child the same way. Although sometimes it may be hard as you are bound to like some children more then others, it can have great negative effects if I child gets wind of the fact that you dislike him or her. I believe that children earn better in environment where they feel safe and valued, this is the sort of environment I wish my classroom to be.
