A few details

I am a lecturer in the School of Environmental and Information Sciences at Charles Sturt University.

I joined the University, (or more correctly its predecessor institution the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education), in 1985. Previously I had worked for a number of years as a professional engineer (in air conditioning design and installation), followed by a 10 year period as a teacher in Victorian secondary schools and TAFE colleges.

Since joining the University I have developed and taught a wide variety of subjects. From 1995 I have been working extensively with the World Wide Web, jointly developing and delivering subjects for the Internet Publishing and Multimedia specialisation of the Bachelor of Information Technology, (first offered in 1996) - the first such Internet specialisation available in Australia.

My research interests include Landscape Modelling, Evolutionary Computing, Genetic Algorithms, and the use of the World Wide Web for teaching and learning.
