Sapporo

Sapporo is the capital of the northern-most island of Japan, Hokkaido.

Famous for its yearly snow festival and its brewery, Sapporo offers big city excitement within a beautiful natural setting.

Travelling to Sapporo via train involves spending about one hour in the Seikan tunnel, the longest under-sea tunnel in the world, as you leave the island of Honshu, and travel towards Hokkaido.
