Responsibilities: The successful applicant
will be based in the School of Information Studies and will be responsible
for developing and teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate subjects
in statistics and mathematics as well as the conduct of research programs,
including supervising honours and postgraduate students. In addition, the
appointee will assist in the provision of statistical consulting services
within the Faculty. The Faculty has active research programs in the areas
of agricultural science, environmental science, remote sensing and geographic
information systems.
Essential:
-
A higher degree in mathematics/statistics or a related
field
-
Established research interests in the area of applied
statistics
-
Proven success in teaching/lecturing or evidence of
teaching potential
-
A credible record of research scholarship characterised
by publications, involvement in consultancies or research grant success
-
The ability to contribute to the wider mathematics and
statistics teaching programs within the School
-
A demonstrated ability to work as a team member or consultant
on interdisciplinary research projects
Desirable:
-
Biometrical or geo-statistical expertise

Statistical consulting experience
Eligibility to Apply: Due to Australian immigration
requirements preference may be given to citizens and permanent residents
of Australia.
Salary Range:
Lecturer - $48,412 - $57,490 per annum
Associate Lecturer - $33,889 - $45,990 per annum
