Things to do and see around Tinonee

Tinonee offers a large variety of attractions and activities to please young and old alike.

Manning River	The Manning River is a good spot to go canoeing, water skiing, fishing, or to take a boat out. A boat ramp and jetty is located near the intersection of Manchester Street and Cotton Street. Map
Kiwarrak State Forest	For people who are interested in bushwalking, mountain-bike riding or four-wheel driving, Kiwarrak State Forest offers many tracks and fire trails. Visit the local tourist information centre in Taree to locate the best access into the forest.
Tennis Courts and Oval	There are two tennis courts in Tinonee, a clay court and an artificial grass court. These are situated next to the Bob Collier Oval. There is also a BBQ with picnic tables and a children's playground as well. Bookings for the tennis court can be made at the General Store across the road. See the map for the location of the oval.
Tinonee Historical Museum	The Tinonee Historical Museum is a good place to find out more about Tinonee's interesting history. Tinonee's original slab gaol is also on display at the museum. The museum is located on Manchester Street. Map
Terrace Cinema	The Terrace Cinema is said to be the world's smallest commercially operating cinema with 22 seats. The building is over 125 years old, being built in 1881. It was converted into a cinema in 1993. It is also a museum, and is furnished with lots of antiques. The cinema is located on the corner of Mill Street. Map
Artisans Retreat	Artisans Retreat has a gallery of unusual and unique crafts made from wood, glass, fabric, metal and other materials. They also have a workshop where you can try making your own artistic pieces. They are located along the Tinonee Road, Mondrook. Map
Tinonee Memories Café & Craft	Tinonee Memories Café & Craft is a delightful tearoom with a large collection of crafts on display. The building was once the original post office and is now a National Trust listed building. Tinonee Memories Café & Craft is located on the corner of Manchester Street and Cotton Street and overlooks the Manning River. Map
Deep Water Shark	Deep Water Shark Aboriginal Art Gallery is owned by nationally acclaimed Koori artist, Russel Saunders. On display is fascinating artwork in wood, clay and paint. Deep Water Shark Gallery is located in Peveril Street. Map
Tinonee Orchid Nursery	For garden lovers and Orchids in particular, Tinonee Orchid Nursery offers a large variety of orchids for sale. It is located on Tinonee Road. Map
Tallships Reserve	If you are looking for a pleasant place to relax, fish, throw a ball with the kids or just read a book, then you will enjoy visiting Tallships Reserve. Located on the bank of the Manning River it is an ideal place for a little bit of time out. It is located at the very end of Peveril Street. Map
Historical Buildings	There are many historical buildings still standing in Tinonee which are now National Trust listed. The majority are located in Manchester Street and include the old Police Station, the Presbyterian Church, the Old Post Office and a number of others. Map
