Over my childhood, teenage years and continuing into my
adulthood, James Wheeler playing Golf: 2009. I have played an array of sports at a variety
of skill levels.

My sporting career, like my gaming career, began in 2001, playing soccer for the Wanderers. The following year my father moved me to a local RSL Club team; at the time we were called the "Tigers." After moving throughout the ranks within the RSL club, it was until I was 12 years old, I began playing with the higher level team in the club.
Playing with this team was far more enjoyable as the majority of players were at a much higher level; this is because the coach trained us much harder.

There came a point where I got rather bored of soccer and was beginning to improve at golf. It became a time where I stopped playing soccer to put more time and effort into the game of golf. I drastically reduced my handicap and thoroughly enjoyed the game more. I went on to win multiple Championships, the Dubbo Open and many trophies.

At university now, I primarily play soccer in the third and fourth grade squads with friends from all over campus. Nowadays, I sadly do not get to play as much golf as it's not as popular with the younger people of today, but in saying that, golf is a lifetime sport, one that can be taken with me for the rest of my life.

There are a number of other sports I've participated in
and loved over the years, including:

  • Tennis
  • Cricket
  • Athletics
