I had been a spatial analyst for six years in the Federal Deparment of Health in Canberra and had just had my three children when I wanted a change. I decided that geospatial information systems (GIS) was my passion and I wanted to gain some qualifications to further my career.
I initially undertook a Diploma of Spatial Information Services at CIT in 2016 where I found that I really enjoyed studying and wanted to pursue it further. I used my diploma for recognised prior learning and enrolled at CSU in a bachelor of science, majoring in spatial science.
I juggled university study and work for two years before I decided to quit work to finish my degree while my twins were in preschool. I have been studying fulltime this year and am scheduled to graduate in December.
