CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Consultant to the United Nations Development Program (UNIDO) for preparing the Industrial Development Perspective Plan of the Government of Nepal (2001), Visiting Professor at Yale University (Jan-Jun 2000), Lecturer (1992-1999) and Senior Lecturer (from Feb 2000) at Charles Sturt University. Project Economist under the UNV program of the United Nations (1987-91). Several invitations from local media (PRIME and WIN Television, ABC Radio, 2 BS and The Daily Advertiser) to comment on regional and international issues influencing rural Australia. May-June 2003 Asian Development Bank consultant to Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan to review trade policy.

Trade policy in Asian developing countries, causes of poverty, trade liberalisation, policy reforms and structural changes, WTO issues for LDCs and intra-industry trade pattern in Australia
