Ailwood (2004) describes Curriculum as everything, both planned and unplanned, that happens in the classroom. The
Government and school systems require teachers to follow a set plan or
curriculum when teaching in the classroom.
This is referred to as planned curriculum. Hidden curriculum refers to the unplanned
events that often happen in classrooms usually without meaning to, things
like allowing bullying to occur in your classroom. The curriculum I will
be dealing with when I complete my degree will be Personal Development,
Health and Physical Education or PDHPE. Evidence 1. The child protection
workshop I attended helped me to understand that hidden curriculum should be
looked at very carefully and that it is imperative that no-one ignores
problems that present themselves in the classroom. |
