Throughout my career I will see myself as a professional in the teaching field. Currently I do not view myself as a professional in this field as I am only just beginning to understand what it means. I view a professional as someone who has a sound and informed understanding of a specific field. Someone who considers a range of issues and in doing so understands the implications that they have on their specific field. Many issues will influence my understanding of education as a specific field, some of which include ethical, social and political influences. During the course of my University Career many of these issues will be addressed and so I will be learning to become a professional in the education field. Evidence 1. My Certificate III in Office Administration shows that I have the ability to view myself as a professional in the Administration Field. To become a professional in this field I had to consider legal and political issues in my workplace as these issues in particular were important to the corporation I was apprenticed to. 2.
Completing my First Aid Certificate made me consider many issues relating
to the health field. While learning to 'become a professional of
first aid' issues like public liability and personal safety were
required to be considered. Personal safety was a major issue to
consider in this kind of workplace as although it is required
to help the injured party it wi also required that personal safety
come first at all costs. |
