Lihong Zheng received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia in 2008. Dr. Lihong Zheng is currently a senior lecturer in Computer Science in the School of Computing and Mathematics at Charles Sturt University (CSU). Dr. Lihong Zheng's research interests include computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, and robotics. The application fields where the research outcomes are applied span over image analysis, biometrics, video data analysis, gesture recognition. Her research outcomes have been published in many premier international conferences and the major international journals. Please see the details in Publications. Dr. Lihong Zheng is a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and member of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Signal Processing Society since 2008. She also serves several journals and conferences as reviewer including International Journal of Intelligent Systems Technologies and Applications (JISTA), Knowledge-Based Systems (KBS), Journal of Multimedia (JM), Journal of Imaging Science and Technology (JIST), Sensors, and several international conferences (International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), IEEE conference series on video and signal based surveillance (AVSS), IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP), IEEE International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (CIT).
Her recent research has involved the development of new machine learning algorithms for human gesture recognition and biomedical image analysis. If you would like to do a PhD degree or collaborate with me, please contact me. A list of research projects/PhD themes is available here.
