Gone With the Wind (an old time classic)
One of my favourite ways of spending my time would be by going to the cinema. I consider myself a movie buff and the most recent movie that I saw was “GHOSTRIDER” with Nicholas Cage and Eva Mendes. I didn’t like it that much. I just cannot imagine Nicholas Cage playing such a role. I think he was not suited to the role at all.
That is how I felt with the “DA VINCI CODE” where Tom Hanks played the role of Dr Langton.The problem with the “DA VINCI CODE” was that I had read the book before seeing the movie and I had created an image of the characters in my mind so when I saw the movie it just didn’t feel right.
I also saw "Spiderman 3" which was quite good and the special effects were outstanding. The movie that wins the best special effects movie would have to be Lord Of the Rings (the trilogy).It was unbelivable how the book came to life. Peter Jackson did a wonderful job and dederved the Grammy for best director.
I do not watch only new movies. I have a keen interest in movies from the old Hollywood classic era. Movies with actors such as Humphrey Bogart, Doris day, Rock Hudson, Bette Davies and many more actors. I like watching those movies because in those days, special effects were not the main attraction in the movie as is nowadays (for example:the movie "300" was mainly filmed behind a green screen). It is unbelievable how technology has changed the way movies are made!
