Pornography, racism, bomb-making instructions, depictions of violence and sites that promote alcohol, smoking and drug use.

• Be cyber smart. The best protection is parental supervision.
• Install filtering and labelling tools.

Chats

Most people online are friendly and polite but some can be unfriendly and rude. There have been instances of peadophiles contacting children in chat rooms.

• Talk to chrildren about experiences online to get to know who they are chatting with.
• Teach children how to protect themselfs from stranger-danger online.
• Access to chat and IM (Instant Message) programs can also be blocked with most filter tools.
