Dear Editor
I am writing to thank you for your recent article rewarding the hard work of the volunteers at the Dudsville Care Home. As the mother of a child here, I cannot express my gratitude for these people enough. Harriet, my daughter, is always so happy during the painting and music classes. Without the volunteers, these classes would not be able to take place! It warms my heart to know she is being taken care of by such wonderful people, and I thank you for highlighting such an important cause.

Anger at Large Chains

Dear Editor
I wanted to express my frustration about your recent article discussing the importance of larger chain stores coming into Dudsville. I completely disagree with this! I have worked in Dudsville in a local grocery for 17 years, and took over from my father before me. These new stores do not provide the quality produce which is available locally. I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of support for local shops, and don't see how bringing nasty, substandard chains into the area will help the business of the local communities.
