The following commands are useful for obtaining further information about commands from the online help systems.
The man command is used to access the online manual. It can be used in a number of ways, but the two most useful are
man command - which displays information about the command command, and
man -k keywords - which displays any header line that contains one of the specified keywords. This is useful if you can't remember or don't know the name of the command, but know what it is used for, or which to find out if there is a command that does keyword.
Typing help pattern will display helpful information about builtin commands. If pattern is specified, gives detailed help on all commands matching pattern, otherwise a list of the built-in commands is printed.
