Search ONE - RESULTS

A.) explains why you used a particular search tool ERIC stands for "Educational Resources Information Center".  I thought that this would be an ideal place to find current information about issues associated with plagiarism on the web for educational organisations.   The site is setup for teachers, parents, students etc. knowing this I can expect to find a variety of information on all aspects of my report - for example 'why are students plagiarising?', 'how are teachers combating plagiarism?', 'what are the consequences for students if they are caught plagiarising?'
B.) illustrates the syntax / key words entered plagiarism
C.) states the number of hits obtained 1
D.) comments on the quality of the results obtained The quality of the results were great, ranging from Internet sites to online forums and contact details for educational organisations.  A lot of the information was from a technical point of view, aimed at educating teachers on the legal aspects of copyright.  Information for teachers to assist them in  educating their students about the Internet in terms of sites being reliable/creditable was also available.   This falls under my sub topic of prevention.

Search TWO - RESULTS

B.) illustrates the syntax / key words entered referencing AND copyright
C.) states the number of hits obtained 2
D.) comments on the quality of the results obtained This search returned the quality of results I was seeking,  ie  providing information on the legal side of my topic (copyright).  In doing this search I came across a great educational search engine which I am going to use as one of my search tools.   The information was once again covering the sub topic of prevention - understanding copyright in turn how to reference correctly for both teachers and students.
