GOOGLE -  http://www.google.com

Search ONE - RESULTS

A.) explains why you used a particular search tool I used Google because it is one of the most popular search tools and as such will provide a broad and extensive range of information about plagiarism generally and my sub topics.
B.) illustrates the syntax / key words entered Directory search - Reference > Education > Educators > Plagiarism
C.) states the number of hits obtained 84
D.) comments on the quality of the results obtained Because Google  provides access to such a broad range of information, it automatically refined my search and broke it down into categories which directly relate to my sub topics ( e.g. detection and prevention).  Most of the top 20 links I have already come across using other search tools.

Search TWO - RESULTS

B.) illustrates the syntax / key words entered "plagiarism" AND "education" AND "prevention" AND "consequences" AND "cheating" AND "copyright"
C.) states the number of hits obtained 60
D.) comments on the quality of the results obtained Most of the information was cumbersome to read with the exception of the information about the Charles Sturt University Plagiarism workshop which contains easy to read information relative to my topic (detection methods, prevention strategies).

Search THREE - RESULTS

B.) illustrates the syntax / key words entered "guide to plagiarism"
C.) states the number of hits obtained 22
D.) comments on the quality of the results obtained To refine my search further  I used more succinct keywords and this returned more specific information regarding one of my sub topics (ie. information primarily for students on how to avoid plagiarism in their academic work e.g referencing , copyright)
